YouTube 4 You book, specially that part dealing with using YouTube to promote your business. Building on that interest, I've just launched a new blog, called

I don't think YouTube has much potential for business. The community has been rather hostile towards commercial interests. Renetto got attacked for promoting his business. There are too many videos on the site for your work to get noticed.
The key to using YouTube to promote your business is not to be so obvious about it. You're right, YouTubers don't want to watch advertisements or blatant self-promotion. But if you offer something entertaining, informative, or instructional, you'll provide a service and get viewers -- and, in doing so, promote your business.
